since september 2023, I’ve been working as a Jr. Art Director at a global advertising agency focusing on broadcast and television based in LA + NY.

as a working art director in broadcast, I am deeply involved in the commercials I work in from
pre-production to post and everything in between.
 
I’ve always been influenced greatly by storytelling and
concept design, and I would describe my work
as narrative-driven, colorful, experimental, and nostalgic.

I have experience in a multitude of art fields,
from working as an art director in broadcast to
being featured in gallery exhibitions for my
multimedia work.

inspired by real life connections, the goal is simple: tell the story, and make it beautiful * !

currently working as a Jr. Art Director at Infusion by Castells, under Davis Elen Advertising, since September 2023.


daily obligations include:
   

   →  working alongside copywriters and creative directors to craft original captivating storyboards
to sell concepts to client

       →  selecting talent for casting and curating wardrobe per talent to align with campaign objectives and aesthetics 

     →  ensuring a seamless execution on live production sets by styling and dressing talent, managing wardrobe and talent for continuity between scenes, and collaborating closely with
the production team and clients on set to bring concepts to life accurately and tastefully 


additionally, I play a key role in post to develop graphic offer cards, post production graphics, and other necessary marketing materials to support 
the overall campaign strategy and branding.

here are selected highlights from this role, including SPOTLIGHT for Spectrum Wifi, a commercial that I took lead art direction on, from initial concept + storyboarding, wardrobe casting, all featured offer card graphics, to final post-production graphics.

on other projects featured here, MARÍA and CAFÉ CON LECHE for Spectrum Business, I played a key art director role in pre production, physically on set, and in post-production. some of those duties included developing storyboards, choosing wardrobe and casting, and creating the graphics and supers you see on top of these commercials here! ;)

              1. Girl Unknown (2023)
→             a mixed media piece of gouache, acrylic, pastels, magazine collage, and marker.

→             this piece exists somewhere in between the spaces of inheriting womanhood, the cruelty of losing value just by continuing to exist under an inescapable gaze, and coming to know one’s place in the world, whether that understanding is thrust onto you or gently guided. everything about this piece was intentional for me, from the selection of repurposing 1950’s LIFE magazines – the era of white picket suburban bliss, cigarettes for your health, and war bonds for patriotism - creating and building a space divided by two mediums, and maximizing the story i could tell and the subtext i could implement in every corner, every detail, and every first glance. GIRL unknown comes from a place of losing, from a place of having your story and every stage of it prewritten, pinned up, and bled out.

                      2. Soft Inside (2023)

                      3. Please Keep Watching Over Me
              (2022-23)


→            charcoal, acrylic, cardboard, marker, pastel, thread

→            this multimedia project crafted from 2022 to 2023 investigates themes of the self, dreams, reality, and fantasy.

this piece aims to contest both the division and the blending of memory and present, and to explore the span of  human emotional experience. the title alludes to my emergence as an artist in the world outside of my studies, along with being a plea to my guardian angels (depicted as red bunnies).

→            exhibited at the Multimedia Exhibition at the Thomas P. Kelly gallery of Los Angeles in March 2023.

                      4. I Will Always Grow (2022)

→            photo collage + digital illustration

→            this collection of works was created as a homage to my past self, a nod to my future self, and a warm hug to my present self.

→            these artworks act as capsules in time, with collages of what I have experienced mentally, emotionally, and physically, to further propel me forward as an artist and human. in these works are real cutouts of journal entries from 2019 - 2022, collaged with original photos and drawings to create atmospheres of my past. I aimed for these pieces to bring up feelings of reminiscence, longing for another time, and to remind us of the wishful thinking only a child could have.

I hope to invite my audience to think softly of their own memories and experiences, and relate that back to their present selves with love, appreciation, and gratitude.
